DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque men's lacrosse team fell to the Albion College Britons on Wednesday night 16-5 at Oyen Field.
Albion led 3-1 after the first 15 minutes and then extended their lead to 9-1 after a 6-0 second quarter. The Spartans closed the final 30 minutes with four of their five goals as they fell 16-5 in the second game at Oyen Field this season.
Five different players scored tonight as the Spartans got goals from
Cambell Smith,
Peter Schiess,
Chris Wilson,
Tommy Shelby, and
Connor Lindauer. Schiess also added an assist to lead the team with two points, while
Carter Nelson added the Spartans second assist of the night.
Shelby scored his first goal of the season tonight and Lindauer scored his second career goal.
The Spartans were 0-4 on extra man opportunities and were only 16-27 on clears.
Nolan Nagy added 11 saves in the loss.
