DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque women's basketball team fell to the (RV) Coe College Kohawks 80-48 on Wednesday night inside the Stoltz Sports Center.
Avery Green and
Taylor Martin got the scoring started for the Spartans on Wednesday night, each knocking down a three-pointer to open the first quarter.
Grace Brumley made a layup in the closing seconds as the Spartans trailed through 10 minutes. In the second half the Spartans made 11 field goals, while going 7-13 from the three-point line. The Spartans nine made three-pointers tonight were the second most in a game this season, trailing only the season opener against Marian.
Green finished with 12 points and four assists. Brumley added eight points while the duo of
Christina Simonetti and
Karsyn Pankonen each had six. Simonetti also had a team-high eight rebounds.
