ST. CLOUD, Minn. - The University of Dubuque women's hockey team traveled north to face the College of Saint Benedict Friday evening. At the final buzzer, the Spartans dropped to the Bennies 10-0.

Natalie Meeder led the Spartans offensively with six shots, with teammate Madilynn Schiile shooting the puck three times. Natalie Post led the team in faceoffs, winning nine, while Bree Hallson won six faceoffs. Goalkeepers Emily Skanron and Molly Jex collectively made 43 saves, with Skanron making 22 and Jex making 21.

The Spartans will stay in St. Cloud to face the Bennies for the second and final game in the weekend series. The game is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 5, at Ritsche Arena.
