ADRIAN, Mich. - The University of Dubuque women's hockey team traveled east to Michigan to face off with No. 7 Adrian on Friday. After three periods, the Spartans ended the game with a 6-0 loss.
Molly Jex hit a new career-high against the Bulldogs, making 54 saves against the No. 7 team in Division III. Natalie Meeder led the team in shots with four. Bree Hallson and Natalie Post led the Spartans in faceoffs, winning eight and seven, respectively. Alexandria Simmons continues to add to her team-leading blocks total with another three against the Bulldogs to take her total up to 28.

The Spartans will remain in Adrian to close out the two-game series against the No. 7 Bulldogs. The second game will be tomorrow, Saturday, January 24, at 2:00 p.m. (CT) in the Arrington Ice Arena.
