ST. PETER, Minn. - The University of Dubuque women's tennis team sent a limited roster to the 2025 ITA Regional/Gusties Midwest Invite this weekend. The Spartans duo of

Jayda Floyd in Draw 3 doubles won 6-1 over Claire Kimman/Cassie Youngquist of Concordia (Minn.). The two Spartans topped Alexis Tatum/Lauren Keiper of Loras in the next round 6-0. UD continued into the next round vs. Malia McKinnon/Addie Carlson of Bethel by a 6-1 score. The pair won the flight 7-6 (10-5 in tie break) over Addie Persian/Alyssa Trapp of Grinnell.
In singles play,
Sarah Wilde opened with a win in singles draw 5. She won 8-4 over Taylor Presler of UW-Eau Claire. In the next round she faced Abby Struble of Luther and lost 8-5.
Jayda Floyd playing in singles draw 2, lost her opener 8-4 against Abigail Haley of Concordia (Wis.).
The Spartans will host the Buena Vista University Beavers on Friday, Sept. 26 on Frank Farber Tennis Courts at 4:00 p.m. UD will continue their American Rivers Conference play on Saturday, Sept. 27 when the Nebraska Wesleyan University Prairiewolves journey to Dubuque with match beginning at 10:00 a.m.
