DUBUQUE, Iowa - Starting tomorrow, the University of Dubuque women's soccer team will be heading to Costa Rica for a nine-day, once in a lifetime trip that will feature three friendly games, along with numerous outdoor adventures for the student-athletes to explore the country.
The team will be playing three friendly games while they are in Costa Rica and will face LDA FF on Thursday, July 31 to open the stretch of games. On August 1 they will face Dimas FF, and then wrap-up their playing stretch against San Carlos FF on August 2. The Spartans will also be giving back to the Costa Rican community by putting on a Soccer Clinic where the UD student-athletes will organize a mini soccer clinic activity for the underprivileged kids within the community.
Outside of playing the friendly games, the team will have the opportunity to explore the vast rain forests of Costa Rica, as well as the La Paz Waterfall Gardens & Animal Sanctuary, Volcanic Hot Springs, and the Pacific coastal beaches. They will also have time for fun outdoor recreational activities such as the White Water Rafting Tour and the Canopy Zipline Tour.
This will be the University of Dubuque women's soccer team's first trip to Costa Rica since their last visit back in the summer of 2022 (pictured below).
