INDIANOLA, Iowa - The American Rivers Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships wrapped up on Saturday as the University of Dubuque men's track & field team finished the three day championships with a runner-up finish and 176 team points. Otis Patterson was named Male Track Athlete of the Year after his dominating performances on the final day of the championships.

The Spartans had four conference champions and 10 all-conference performances on the final day of the A-R-C Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday at Simpson College. Otis Patterson was named the Male Track Athlete of the Year by the conference after winning the 400 meter dash in 47.30, which is a now the 15th fastest in the all of Division III this season. Patterson also finished runner-up in the 200 meter dash and was a member of the conference championship quartet in the 4x400 meter relay team that ran 3:11.49 which is the fourth fastest in the country this season. The quartet also included Andrew Hutchinson, Kali Freeman, and Jaberrius Peake.

Blake Hardison finished runner-up in the 110 high hurdles and ran the seventh fastest time in the country today. Peake repeated as the conference champion in the 200 meter dash today with a time of 21.18 and has now inserted himself into position to qualify for the NCAA's. Peake was also a member of the winning 4x400 meter relay team.

In the field events Braydin Preston repeated as the conference champion of the javelin throw with a toss of 61.88 meters which is the 19th farthest throw this season in the country. Ethan Stoker (Pole Vault), Lucas Cummings (Hammer Throw), and Jaidyn Williams & Jakhari Anderson (Triple Jump) all were all-conference performers on Saturday to round out the top finishers for the Spartans.
