LAKE FOREST, Ill. - The University of Dubuque men's lacrosse picked up a huge road NACC game today against the Lake Forest College Foresters 11-7 at Farwell Field.
The Spartans got a quick four unanswered goals to open the game before Lake Forest got on the scoreboard. The Spartans would score five goals in the opening quarter after
Aidan Culligan score a goal with zeros on the clock. The Spartans biggest lead of the game came at 7-1Â shortly before halftime. In the second half, Lake Forest was only able to cut the Spartans five goal halftime lead down to four in the final 30 minutes.Â
Aiden Ennett scored a team-high four goals today, while
Giovanni Silva and Culligan finished their days with five points each. Culligan is now one point shy of 200 for his career and would join Silva and
Sam Todd as the only Spartans to achieve that feat.Â
Parker Hahne had three caused turnovers on the defensive end as the team finished with 12 total caused turnovers.
John Lewis was 10-19 on faceoffs from the center circle.
Nolan Nagy recorded 15 saves in his sixth win of the season.
The Spartans improve to 7-6 overall and 6-2 in conference play.
