DUBUQUE, Iowa - On Sunday the University of Dubuque men's lacrosse team defeated the Lawrence University Vikings 18-6 as
Sam Todd became just the second Spartan to eclipse 200 career points.
After a postponement for a road game with the Vikings last Thursday, the Spartans hosted the Vikings on a rainy and cold day on Sunday at Oyen Field.
The Spartans scored the first four goals of the game and then proceeded to lead 10-2 at the half. Just like yesterday's game against Marian with the big lead, the Spartans went to their bench to finish out much of the second half, before puling out a double digit victory.
Todd led all Spartans with 10 points (six goals, four assists) and with his sixth point in the second quarter became the second Spartan to reach 200 career points. Todd trails teammate,
Giovanni Silva in total career points as Silva finished with five points today along with
Cambell Smith.
Aidan Culligan added three points.
John Lewis was great again on the faceoff circle, going 16-18 and grabbed 13 ground balls.
Ethan Smith forced three caused turnovers, while
Jake Sparber added a pair.
Nolan Nagy got his second consecutive win in goal for the Spartans, recording six saves in 45 minutes in goal.
The Spartans improve to 3-4 overall and 2-0 in NACC play.
