ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The University of Dubuque men's and women's track and field teams returned for day two of the NCAA Indoor National Championships. The men's team left Rochester with eight All-American finishes on the day and finished tied for tenth in the men's team standings with 16 team points. The women's team was represented in the shot put and high jump.
Senior
Blake Hardison earned another All-American honor after posting a sixth place finish in the 60 meter hurdles final with a time of 8.04.
Andrew Hutchinson earned a fourth place All-American Finish in the 800 meter final, once again breaking his own school record running a time of 1:50.89. This was Hutchinson's first career indoor 800 meter All-American honor. The 4x400 meter relay team of
Jaberrius Peake,
Otis Patterson,
Kali Freeman, and
Andrew Hutchinson finished in sixth place with a time of 3:17.64 in the event to earn All-American honors. This is Peake's and Freeman's first career All-American honors in their respective careers.
Senior
Jaidyn Williams earned his first career All-American honor after finishing eighth in the triple jump with a 14.77 meter jump, breaking a 20-year old school record in the event.
Jacob Edwards earned his first career All-American honor in the sho put after throwing a personal best mark of 17.38 to finish fifth in the event.
Dakota Hoffman and
Zach Sanford also compete in the shot put on the afternoon where Hoffman threw a mark of 15.72 meters to finish 16th and Sanford threw for a mark of 14.65 meters finishing in 20th place. Hoffman earned second team All-American honors with the top 16 finish.
On the women's side, sophomore
Chloe Reiser competed in the shot put with a mark of 12.37 meters finishing in 19th place.
Jaden Gatts competed in the high jump, leaping 1.60 meters to finish tied for 16th place.
