The Spartans scored the opening basket and never relinquished the lead. The Beavers would tie the game at 13-13 with 12:48 left in the first half. From there the Spartans would explode on a 32-8 run over the final 10:31 to lead 45-21 at the half. With the game well in control in the second half, the Spartans led by as many as 38 points before playing deep into the bench and getting some minutes to players who typically don't see the floor.

Jaylin McCants led all scorers with 19 points on 7-10 shooting. McCants finished two games against the Beavers with 60 points (41 in the first meeting). Grady Thompson scored 15 points, knocking down four of the Spartans nine three-point field goals. Jacob Williams added 11 points and six rebounds.

A total of 18 Spartans got into the game this afternoon as Cael Amos scored his first points in a Spartans uniform. The Spartans were also able to win the points in the paint battle (38-22), points off turnovers (17-4), and got big production off the bench with 29 points.

Hear from Robbie Sieverding
"Our guys were able to knock down some perimeter shots and really shared the ball well. I thought defensively we were locked in and executed on that end of the floor really well. Grady had a solid game and our bench played well scoring 29 points."

The Spartans improve to 16-5 overall and 10-2 in conference play. With other scores today, the Spartans are back in sole possession of first place in the A-R-C standings and control their own destiny with four regular season games remaining.
