DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque men's basketball team is set to host the Central College Dutch in the A-R-C semifinals. Tip-off on Thursday night is set for 7:00 p.m. from the Stoltz Sports Center.
The No. 1 seed Spartans coming off a bye on Tuesday will face the No. 4 seed Central College Dutch in the semifinal round of the A-R-C Tournament. The Dutch defeated Coe College 99-83 in the first round on Tuesday night.
In two regular-season meetings, the Spartans went 2-0 with a 74-67 home win over the Dutch on January 18 and a 78-67 comeback win on the road back on February 15. The Spartans have won four straight games against the Dutch, including a 77-73 win at home in the first round of last year's A-R-C Tournament. The Spartans have won seven straight home games against the Dutch and will look to make it eight straight on Thursday night.
The winner will play in the A-R-C Championship on Saturday, March 1 against the winner of the other A-R-C semifinal featuring No. 2 seed Nebraska Wesleyan University and No. 6 seed Wartburg College, who upset No. 3 seed Loras College in the opening round of the tournament.
