DUBUQUE, Iowa - The 2025 Academic All-America® women's soccer teams as selected by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) were released on Wednesday afternoon. University of Dubuque senior midfielder
Alyssa Tranchita was named CSC Academic All-America second team. Tranchita becomes just the second women's soccer student-athlete in program history and first since 2012 to be named an Academic All-American by College Sports Communicators.
Tranchita (Greenfield, Wis. / Whitnall) led the Spartans' offense this season, scoring 13 goals (three game-winners) and added eight assists. The senior started all 19 games this season and was among the top ranks of each offensive category in the American Rivers Conference this season. After a career-year for Tranchita, the now Academic All-American earned numerous other accolades this season including: USC All-American Fourth Team, USC All-Region IX First Team, A-R-C Offensive Most Valuable Player, CSC Academic All-District, and A-R-C All-Academic.
Tranchita majored in Elementary Education during her four years at the University of Dubuque.
