Men's Wrestling Hosts Jim Fox Invite

The University of Dubuque men's wrestling team hosts the Jim Fox Invite on Saturday, November 1 to open the 2025-2026 campaign. The Spartans will welcome wrestlers from Eureka College, Loras College, the University of Chicago, and UW-Platteville to the mat for the day of competition. Matches will begin at 9:00 a.m. CDT and run until completion.

The Jim Fox Invite will consist of brackets of varying size across all ten weight classes, allowing all wrestlers to compete during the event. All matches will be held inside the Stoltz Sports Center on Jon Davison Court and the McCormick Gym.

Of the five schools represented at the Jim Fox Invite, three are nationally ranked in the NWCA preseason coaches' poll. Loras College and UW-Platteville were tied for the #7 ranking nationally, while the University of Chicago was tied for #13 in the nation. #T-7 Loras, who was picked to finish third this season in the A-R-C, looks to improve from a fifth-place finish in the conference last season. #T-7 UW-Platteville has high hopes for a bounce-back season after finishing fifth in the WIAC last season. #T-13 Chicago finished second in the UAA last season and appears ready to chase a league title in 2025-2026. The Spartans will compete in the strong A-R-C once again after a fifth place finish last season. Finally, Eureka College visits the Key City ready to build on a 2024-2025 season where they finished third in the SLIAC.
