Manheim, PA – The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) proudly announced the 2025 NCAA Division III Men's Scholar All-American Awards recipients on Friday. These outstanding student-athletes have demonstrated excellence both on the mat and in the classroom, meeting one of the following academic and athletic criteria:
- WRESTLING - Must accomplish at least 1 of the 2
- Place in top 8 in the regional tournament
- Wrestle at least 15 matches and have a win percentage greater than 66%.
- Matches with teammates will count only if they happened in a tournament
- Matches set up between teammates will not count
- ACADEMICS - Must accomplish at least 1 of the 2
- Must have an average GPA of 3.2 over the last 2 semesters or quarters or last 3 trimesters
- Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.2
The University of Dubuque had four wrestlers named NWCA Scholar All-Americans.
Brett Back,
Tyler Klein,
Justin Matson, and
Kale Roth all were named by the NWCA. Both Matson and Roth are earning their second NWCA Scholar All-American awards of their career.
