University of Dubuque Spartans
The Spartans head into their third season as a program looking to improve upon last year's 1-21-3 record. Head coach
Seamus Gregory enters his third season with the Spartans with a rejuvenated roster full of returning and incoming talent. Led by budding star
Nikita Borodayenko, the Spartans look to challenge for an NCHA tournament bid in 2025-2026. With four NCHA teams in the preseason USCHO.com Top 15 coaches' poll, the Spartans will battle with the gold standard in Division III hockey every week.
Augsburg University Auggies
The Auggies enter 2025-2026 looking to bounce back from a disappointing 8-16-1 season where they finished last in the MIAC. Head coach Garrett Hendrickson enters his third season as head coach looking to bring the Auggies back to 2023-2024 form, where they finished 15-9-2 and captured the regular season title. Thanks to an influx of talent and key returning pieces, Augsburg will contend for a league title and national ranking this season.
#6 Aurora University Spartans
Aurora looks to ride their momentum from 2024-2025 where they won the NCHA regular season title and advanced to the NCAA Division III Championship quarterfinals. The Spartans were picked to finish second in the NCHA in 2025-2026. The Spartans enter 2025-2026 as the #6 team in the country, their highest preseason ranking under fourth-year head coach Jason Bloomingburg. Despite the daunting NCHA schedule, Aurora appears to challenge for the league title and another national tournament appearance.
#11 UW-Stevens Point Pointers
The Pointers enter the upcoming season riding a 19-5-3 record from last season, which was good for second in the WIAC. The Pointers have won three of the last four WIAC regular season titles and were picked to finish first in the preseason coaches' poll. Head coach Tyler Krueger enters his tenth season at UW-Stevens Point looking to capture his seventh conference title in ten years. The Pointers' mix of returners, newcomers, and coaches give them a leg up on the rest of the league, as they will contend for a national tournament appearance in 2025-2026.
