MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The University of Dubuque women's hockey team dropped the series finale against Milwaukee School of Engineering, falling 4-1 on Saturday afternoon at the Kern Center.

The Spartans scored just 43 seconds into the first period to give Dubuque an early 1-0 lead by
Malia Tetreault scoring unassisted. MSOE answered late in the period with a power play goal at 15:49, evening the score 1-1 heading into the first intermission.

The host Raiders pulled ahead in the second period with a goal at 14:20, grabbing a 2-1 lead. UD fired off 18 shots in the second period with 13 on goal.

In the final minutes of the third period, MSOE secured the win with two late goals. The first came at 18:43 on an empty-net play, and they added their snuck their final goal at 19:31 to make the final score 4-1.

Savannah Wuitschick recorded 23 saves in the loss. The Spartans generated 30 shots on goal, with
Aleah Giddings leading the offensive effort with seven shots. The Spartans won 24 faceoffs, with Ashley Eldridge and
Zoe Cupples each collecting six wins in the circle.

The Spartans will look to bounce back in their next game when they host #4 Adrian College at ImOn Arena on Friday, January 24 for a 2:00 p.m. puck drop.
