WAUWATOSA, Wis. - The University of Dubuque volleyball team ended a three game skid in the opening game of the Wisconsin Lutheran College Quadrangular with a 3-1 (22-25, 25-18, 25-23, 25-23) victory over Wheaton College.
The Spartans fell in the first set by three points before they rallied off three straight set wins to win the match.
Emma Powell continues to be the go to attacker for the Spartans finishing with 19 kills and an attacking percentage of .288. Two other Spartans finished with double figures kills as
Ashley Glennon had 14 while
Payton Uptagraft in the middle finished with 12.
Ashlyn McGinnis had a team-high 29 assists while
Alexis Kammerer had 21 for the Spartans.
Taylor Bechen led with 26 digs and
Halee Clare led with two solo blocks and two assisted blocks.
The Spartans are back to .500 at 3-3 on the season.
