LA CROSSE, Wis. – The University of Dubuque women's soccer team hit the road Saturday and played a very competitive game and held their own against 7
th-ranked UW- La Crosse. The Spartans were able to get numerous attacking opportunities against the Eagles holding the nationally ranked La Crosse to their season low in goals scored despite falling 2-1.
In the first half, the Spartans were giving it all they had as they held UW La Crosse scoreless after one half. The Spartans had a good number of shot attempts in the first half as they were able to compile seven shots on goal in the first half.
After falling behind early in the second half, the Spartans were able to find the back of the net off a goal from
Riley Trudeau for her fourth goal of the season off a pass from
Emma Kober which is her third assist of the season. The Eagles responded five minutes later which proved to be the difference. Goalkeeper
Karissa Cruz made a season high 11 saves on the night playing all 90 minutes.
