GRINNELL, Iowa - It was a great opening night for the University of Dubuque women's soccer team as they shutout the Grinnell College Pioneers 3-0 to open the 2024 season behind two goals from forward
Emma Kober.
Kober coming back for another season is already paying dividends for the Spartans, scoring twice in the second half including the game winner on the first goal of the game. Junior forward
Riley Trudeau scored the second goal of the game in the 73rd minute for the Spartans.
Kaelyn Nash,
Samantha Scodeller, and
Virginia Speltz all assisted on the Spartans three goals of the game.
The Spartans won the shots battle with the Pioneers with a 23-8 advantage where 10 shots were on goal for the Spartans.

The Spartans will be back on the road on Sunday, Sept. 1 when they face Lake Forest College. Kickoff is set for 3:00 p.m. on Mohr Field.
