DUBUQUE, Iowa – The University of Dubuque women's soccer team played host to the Central College Dutch on a windy Homecoming Saturday at Oyen Field. The Spartans scored first at 28:32 when
Alyssa Tranchita scored off a pass from
Emma Kober. The two squads played even the rest of the afternoon in a 1-0 final in favor of the Spartans.
The Spartans controlled the shots 10-5 in the first half and 4-3 in the second 45 minutes of play. UD finished with six corner kicks and held the Dutch to one in the opening half of action. Central was called for 13 fouls and UD 12, but the Dutch were the only team to collect yellow cards which was four.
The Spartans offense was led by
Alyssa Tranchita and
Riley Trudeau who both grabbed three of the team's 14 shots. Eight Spartans ended the day with a shot in the homecoming victory. UD's shot on goals was six with
Alyssa Tranchita leading with two.

Riley Vondrasek all grabbed one shot on goal.
Keeper
Karissa Cruz compiled her second consecutive shutout after winning the past two contests 1-0. During which she has saved 16 shots while facing 28 shots on the pitch.
