DECORAH, Iowa – The University of Dubuque women's soccer team concluded their regular season as they took on the Luther College Norse in a windy contest. With a spot already locked up in the A-R-C Tournament, the Spartans looked to earn a few more points in the conference standings. The Spartans had many great chances against the Norse, but were unable to find the back of the net in a scoreless draw.
The Spartans had great individual efforts by
Emma Kober and
Alyssa Tranchita as they led the team in shots in the match. Kober had six shots with one on goal, while Tranchita had four shots with two on goal. Freshman
Kyla Seifert had two shots, while
Kaelyn Nash,
Taryn Richey,
Samantha Scodeller, and
Amanda Pisciotta each had one of their own.
As a team, the Spartans got off 17 shots on the night compared to the 12 registered by the Norse. The Spartans also earned more corner kicks than the Norse getting nine on the night. Goalkeeper
Karissa Cruz made five saves on the night in 90 minutes of action.

With the draw, the Spartans finish their season 9-4-4 overall and 3-2-1 in A-R-C play. They are now set to be the fourth seed in the A-R-C tournament and will host the first round against the fifth seeded Central College Dutch on Saturday, November 2 at Oyen Field. A kickoff time is yet to be determined.
