DUBUQUE, Iowa – It was complete game all around for the University of Dubuque women's soccer team as they shut down the Beavers from Buena Vista University Saturday afternoon. It was also Senior Day for the Spartans as they honored six seniors,
Abigail Bruce,
Autumn Huntington,
Samantha Scodeller,
Virginia Speltz,
Erin Morahan, and
Riley Vondrasek. The Spartans (9-4-3, 4-3) dominated the game not allowing a shot attempt by the Beavers en route to a 2-0 win.
The Spartans were off and running early with a goal from
Alyssa Tranchita in the third minute to give the Spartans the early advantage. It was Tranchita's sixth goal of the season.
Emma Kober was credited with her seventh assist of the season on the play. The Spartans then added on to their lead late in the 35
th minute on a goal by Kober, her tenth goal of the season as Tranchita earned the assist to give the Spartans to 2-0 edge.
As a team the Spartans had 31 shots with 16 being on target, while not allowing a single shot by the Beavers. The Spartans earned 15 corner kicks opposed to Buena Vista's zero corners.
Emma Kober had nine shots,
Kaelyn Nash and
Riley Trudeau earned four each. Seniors
Autumn Huntington and
Erin Morahan each had two shots of their own.

The Spartans will conclude the regular season on Tuesday October 29 as travel on the road to take on the Luther College Norse. The Spartans currently are in fourth place in the standings and will look lock up the four seed in the A-R-C Tournament with a win against the Norse. Kickoff from Luther is set for 5:30 pm.
