INDIANOLA, Iowa – The final home stretch of the regular season started tonight for the University of Dubuque women's soccer team as they were back on the road Wednesday night against the Simpson College Storm. The Spartans (8-4-3, 3-3) tied the game briefly, but the Storm were able to hold off the Spartans by a score of 3-1.
The Spartans as a team were able to have a very accurate shooting night, getting off nine shots with seven of them being on goal. Senior midfielder
Alyssa Tranchita, was able to get the Spartans on the board in the 30
th minute to log her fifth goal of the season.
Emma Kober notched her sixth assist of the season on the Tranchita goal. Kober also had four shots of her own with three on goal.
Riley Trudeau got off two shots on goal.
Karissa Cruz logged a full 90 minutes, making seven saves on the night on ten shots faced.

The Spartans currently sit in fourth place in the A-R-C standings with two games left in the regular season. The Spartans will look to build towards the conference tournament as they return home on Saturday, October 26 to take on the Beavers of Buena Vista University for Senior Day. Kickoff from Oyen Field is set for 1:00 p.m. with the festivities of Seniro Day to follow the game.
