DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque women's volleyball team won their fifth straight game after trailing by two sets and coming all the way back to beat the Central College Dutch in five sets (18-25, 17-25, 25-14, 25-17, 15-7).
The Spartans struggled in the early going of the match as the Dutch won the first two sets after the Spartans had 21 attack errors had a negative hitting percentage. It has been rare this season for the Spartans to be down by two sets, but they were able to re-shift their focus and rally off three straight dominating sets to win the match.
Emma Powell led the Spartans with 16 kills and has now finished with double-digit kills in all but three games this season.
Alexis Kammerer had a season-high 27 assists in the win while
Taylor Bechen set a career-high with 32 digs on the Spartans back-line.
Caitlin Jensen finished with one solo, three assisted blocks.
The Spartans have now won five straight and 10 of their last 12 games. The Spartans sit at 2-0 in the conference and have continue their streak of regular season conference wins. The Spartans have not lost a regular season conference game since 10/26/22.
The Spartans are 15-7 overall, 2-0 in A-R-C.
