ASHLAND, Wis. - The University of Dubuque women's hockey team scored, but lost on the road to Northland College by a 1-4 margin.
The Spartans cut Northland's lead in half when UD's
Gracie Hall scored on a power-play off an assist from
Cassidy Becia at 10:02 of the second period, trailing 1-2. The hosts added an additional goal late in the second and late in the third.
UD won 22 faceoffs and lost 37.
Gracie Hall led with 10 wins and
Chloe Byma won nine. UD ended the night with 30 shots and were led by
Libby Plath with seven and
Madilynn Schiile had six shots.
Savannah Wuitschick took the loss in net after playing 58:40. She faced 35 shots on the night.
The Spartans enjoy a short break before returning home to host Concordia University (Wis.) in a busy three-day weekend on Jan. 12,13, and 14 at ImOn Arena in Dubuque.
