Box Score PELLA, Iowa - On Saturday afternoon, the University of Dubuque women's soccer team competed in their second conference game of the season at Central College home of the Dutch. The Spartans scored their lone goal of the game early on as they finished with a 1-1 tie against the Dutch.

As the whistle blew, the Spartans wasted no time scoring early on as Emma Kober scored her tenth goal of the season in the third minute off a pass from Alyssa Tranchita. After the initial goal, neither team could find the back of the net as the Spartans entered halftime up 1-0. Through one half of play Central had eight shots while the Spartans had seven. 

The Dutch controlled possession to start the second half and evened the game at 1-1 with a goal in the 55th minute. Both teams had several opportunities to take the lead but neither team could capitalize as the game ended in a 1-1 draw. The Spartans goalkeeper, Karissa Cruz recorded seven saves throughout 90 minutes of action. Both Kober and Tranchita attempted four shots while Samantha Scodeller and Kailey Tyburski took two.
