DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque women's soccer suffered their first loss of the season under the lights of Oyen Field in a chilly fall night to UW-Platteville by a 0-1 score.

The two teams played a scoreless first half, but the Spartans would find their shots in the second. UD out shot the Pioneers 12-6 in the second half as the keeper was kept busy with six second half saves for UW-P. UD ended the evening with 19 shots and held the Pioneers to nine.

Riley Trudeau led all players with a game high eight shots with four being on goal in her 90 minutes of play. Emma Kober had three shots with one being on goal. Goal keeper Elisa Langer played all 90 minutes and made a pair of saves in the loss.

The Spartans 3-1-5 overall and 0-0-1 in league games will return to American Rivers Conference action on Saturday, Oct. 1 when they host the Central College Dutch at 3:30 p.m. on Oyen Field.
