OSHKOSH, Wis. - The University of Dubuque women's soccer team collected a pair of second half goals en route to a 2-1 victory over the UW-Oshkosh Titans on Saturday.
A 0-0 halftime score quickly changed when the Spartans knocked a goal in just 3:40 into the second half.
Emerson Wilson scored off an assist by
Samantha Scodeller giving the Spartans a 1-0 lead. The Titans responded with a goal just two minutes later to tie the game at 50:41.
Alyssa Tranchita captured the game winning goal at 62:11 off an assist by
Baylee Vincent.
The Titans led the Spartans in shots 19-13, UD had just two shots on goal, but took advantage of both chances. The Titans finished with eight shots on goal, but the play by Spartans keeper
Elisa Langer would stop 7-8 attempts on goal. Seven Spartans finished with a shot in the win.
UD 3-0-3 will return home to Oyen Field on Wednesday to host Lake Forest College at 7 p.m.
