DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque men's lacrosse team fought threw the cold temperatures this afternoon as they exploded offensively to capture the dominating 15-6 victory over the Edgewood College Eagles. The 15 goals for the Spartans are the most so far this season and the second time this season reaching double figures in scoring. 

The Spartans would command control of the game from the opening face off as they scored the first five goals of the game to grab a 5-0 lead and never looked back against the Eagles. Gavin Hughes who returned to the lineup earlier this week and started his first home game of the season ended the game with a team-high four goals, two assists, one ground ball, and one caused turnover. Ben Farraday scored three goals off eight shots, one assist, and four ground balls Zach Schmitt and Tyler Phipps each added two goals. Giovanni Silva and Kyle Hephner each found the back of the net once. 

The Spartans shot a season-high 65 shots with 38 of shots being on goal. The Spartans cleared 17 of their 19 clears and collected 45 ground balls. The Spartans also won 19-25 face offs. Ryan Gartner collected the win with six saves and Ethan Maurisak also recorded a save.
