LA CROSSE, Wis. - The University of Dubuque women's soccer team traveled to face #15 UW-Lacrosse Eagles in their final non-conference game of the 2022 season. The #15 Eagles would be too dominate on the attack as the Eagles managed seven goals to shutout the Spartans by a final of 7-0.
The Spartans would have their hands full Wednesday night taking on the Eagles as they would score goals quick. Before the 20th minute, the Eagles would score three times. Opening up the second half, the Eagles managed two goals in the first 10 minutes before adding two more throughout the remainder of the second half. One Eagle attacker had over half the goals herself with four.
The Spartans would be limited to only six shots with none coming on goal. The Spartans were also unable to get a corner kick opportunity.
Elisa Langer got the start in goal for the Spartans playing only the first half where she saved 10 shots and allowing four goals. The Spartans would go with
Karissa Chalus in the final 45 minutes where she would give up three goals and saved five shots.
The Spartans now sit at 5-3-7 overall and 2-1-3 in conference play. As the standings sit as of 10/19/22 the Spartans are in fourth place with nine points. They sit two points ahead of Central College and trail Simpson College by three points. The Spartans take on Simpson this Saturday.

First up is on Saturday, October 22 when the take on the Simpson College Storm in Indianola, Iowa at 1:00 p.m. The Spartans will then return home for their final regular season game against the Buena Vista University Beavers on Tuesday, October 25 at 7:30 p.m.
