DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque played host on Saturday afternoon to the Central College Dutch inside Stoltz Sports Center. The Spartans and Dutch would stay close throughout most of the game, but a late surge by the Spartans propelled them to a victory 76-58. 

After coming off a big road win against Buena Vista University Beavers, the Spartans continued A-R-C action and were able to continue their momentum facing the Dutch. The Spartans would jump out to a quick 12-5 lead, but the Dutch would answer with a run of their own as they would then take the lead 13-12. The first half was a game of runs and the Spartans would lead 34-30 into the halftime break. In the second half, the Spartans would cushion their lead to 54-42 before another run by the Dutch trimmed the Spartan lead to as close as four before the Spartans used one final run of their own to give them a commanding win. 

Peter Ragen would be the only Spartan to reach double figures, scoring 24 points. Keegan Zimmerman and Dylan Anderson would add nine points each. The Spartans shot 45.8% from the field and shot  13-16 (81.3%) from the charity stripe.

The Spartans continue the home-stand next Wednesday, December 8 with a 7:30 p.m. tip-off for their final home game of 2021. The Spartans will then return home January 12 at 7:30 p.m. when they host their cross-town rivals the Loras College Duhawks.
