David Beach will be joining UD as a full-time assistant in 2024 after being part of the Spartans for the past two years as a graduate assistant, where he earned a master’s in management, sport management. He completed his undergraduate degree in sports management and public relations from Loras College.
Beach was a student-athlete at Loras and was a member of the men’s volleyball program for four seasons where Beach played various positions on the court. He has set, swung on the right side, was a serving sub, and also a defensive specialist. He sits sixth in program history in assists (334) and aces (44), and is tied for seventh in digs (226) all-time. He was also awarded the CCIW Respect award in 2022.
Beach is a native of St. Charles, Ill. and attended St. Charles North High School where he was a setter and a right side. In high school, he was part of two sectional winning teams and was selected to the Upstate 8 All-Conference Team. He is the youngest of four and comes from a volleyball family-all six members who have played competitive volleyball.
