University of Dubuque

Ryan Crabel joined the University of Dubuque staff in 2021. He currently serves at the TE Coach and Director of Football Operations. During his time at Dubuque, he has coached three All-Conference players: Karletty Faamatuainu, Jack Connors, and Wes Spitzmiller.

Prior to UD, he was at Luther College where he coached OL, TE and WR. Luther lead the American Rivers Conference (ARC) in rushing yards in 2018 and 2019. Trevor Joiner and Jackson Gingerich earned All-Conference honors while at Luther.

While at Millikin University, 2016-2017, the Big Blue had the No. 1 passing offense in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW). Their 7-3 record was the best season in team history since 2003 and included a win over top ranked Wheaton College, the first since 2001. Gerald Perry and Jordan Smith earned All-Conference honors while at Millikin.

Crabel is a 2015 graduate of Coe College where he was a three-year letter winner for the Kohawks and played offensive line. The Byron, Ill., native served as the strength and conditioning coach at Byron High School during their summer off-season program from 2013-16.
