University of Dubuque

Dale Ploessl is the former Head Football Coach of Dubuque Senior High School.  Coach Ploessl was the head coach at Senior for 11 seasons.  He led Senior to 5 playoff appearances in those 11 seasons.  Senior experienced great success in those 11 years and sent many players to the college ranks to play football.

Coach Ploessl is a native of Dubuque.  He attended Wahlert High School and Drake University where he played football.  Previous to his stint at Senior High School, Coach Ploessl coached in the college ranks for 18 years in numerous offensive positions. He had stops at Drake University, Oklahoma State, Iowa State, California University of Pennsylvania, and Montana State University.
