PEORIA, Ill. - The University of Dubuque men's cross country team raced to a fourth-place finish at the Bradley Intercollegiate on Friday evening. The Spartans had three among the top 25, and all five scorers were inside the top 40 in their first 8k race of the season.
Carter Richter was the first Spartan to cross the finish line on Friday, doing so in a time of 26:50.4 for a 17th-place finish. Richter was the fifth-fastest Division III runner in the race. Freshman
Sawyer Feldman finished two spots behind Richter in 19th place, running 26:59.9 in his first 8k race. Senior
Aiden Mohr ran 27:06.0 for a 21st-place finish.
Evan Robertson was just outside the top 30 in 31st as he was able to run 27:49.6.
Amana Omale was the final Spartans scorer with a 36th-place finish and a mark of 28:19.7, while
Leandro Barajas was 44th in a time of 28:48.0. Both Omale and Barajas ran their first collegiate 8k races this evening.
Richard Kelso (28:51.7) ran three second behind Barajas for a 46th place finish,
Logan Karottu (29:23.1) finished 58th,
Alexander Palmer (29:24.3) was 61st,
Jack Mulert (29:38.1) was 64th,
Angel Cruz (29:52.4) 68th, and
Hunter Milstead (30:58.5) was 78th place to round out the field for the Spartans.
