JANESVILLE, Wis. - The University of Dubuque women's golf team finished in fifth place in a weather shortened 18 holes UW-Whitewater Spring Invite tournament.
Leah Balsbaugh finished one-over-par (+1) to finish in a tie for second place individually.
Balsbaugh was the highest Spartans finisher through 18 holes at one-over-par, just one stroke back of the leader who shot an even round. Balsbaugh had four birdies on the front nine.
Payton Morton shot three-over-par for a fifth place finish.
Both
Kaycee Newman and
Megan Stephan scored a +10 to finish in a tie for 32nd,
Olivia Hines was one stroke back at +11,
Gracie Russell shot +13, and
Drew Hoffer was +15.

The Spartans will compete next weekend at the Wartburg College Invite on Saturday, April 25 and Sunday, April 26.
