Men's Tennis Drop Pair of Road Matches in the Heat of Spring

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 MOUNT VERNON, Iowa - The University of Dubuque men's tennis team lost a pair of non-conference matches in the record setting heat for March 20 on the road at Cornell College. UD lost the first match of the afternoon to Bethany Lutheran College 6-1 and the host Cornell College Rams would capture the later afternoon match 7-0. 

The Spartans lone winner was Gavin Murrie who won 6-2, 6-2 over Joel Simon. Murrie and teammate Jake Wallrichs lost the #1 doubles in a tie break. they lost 7-6 (7-4 tie break).

UD (5-5 overall) will open American Rivers Conference play on April 10-11 on Frank Farber tennis Courts when they host the Buena Vista University Beavers on Friday, April 10 at 4:00 p.m. and the Nebraska Wesleyan University Prairiewolves on Saturday, April 11 at 10:00 a.m.
