PELLA, Iowa - The University of Dubuque men's season ended on Saturday after a 7-0 loss to the Central College Dutch. The Spartans missed out on qualifying for the 2026 American Rivers Conference Dual Team Tournament by one spot.
UD led early for capturing the doubles point, but lost #1 doubles (
Gavin Murrie/
Jake Wallrichs) in a tie break 7-6 (7-5).
Jake Westberry/
Andrew Bollis won #3 doubles 6-1,
Tanner Laube/
Alex Gaull lost #2 doubles 6-0. Central rallied to win all six of the singles sets to capture the match.
The top six teams from the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) regular season standings qualify for the 2026 Men's Tennis Dual Tournament. The single-elimination tournament will be held on three dates, with the quarterfinal rounds taking place on Tuesday, April 28. The semifinal matches will be held on Thursday, April 30 and the championship match on Saturday, May 2. All rounds will be hosted by the higher seed of each match.Â
The tournament champion receives the league's automatic berth to the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Championships.Â
