ADRIAN, Mich. – The Northern Collegiate Hockey Association announced their 3 Stars of the Week for men's hockey on Tuesday. Senior forward Nikita Borodaenko and freshman defenseman Andon Coles both received honors for their performances in the sweep of Lawrence.

In the 3-1 victory over Lawrence on Saturday, Borodaenko scored the game-winning goal and registered three shots. The next day, Borodaenko became the second player in school history to record a hat trick, scoring three power-play goals in a 6-4 win over Lawrence. Borodaenko also assisted the Spartans' fifth goal of the night, giving him four points on the day, tying his own program record. Borodaenko's phenomenal performance on Sunday rendered him worthy of his third weekly honor and his second weekly honor of the season.

Coles was an integral part of the Spartans' sweep this weekend, registering assists on the first and third goals of Saturday's game. He also notched assists on Borodaenko's final two goals and the Spartans' fifth goal of Sunday's contest. His three assists tied the program record, and he finished with five assists during the weekend. This honor marks Coles' first weekly honor of his career.

The Spartans will be back in action with a split doubleheader this weekend against No. 4 Aurora University. Aurora will host the first contest on Friday, February 13 at 7:00 p.m. while UD will host the regular season finale and Senior Day ceremonies on Saturday, February 14 at 7:00 p.m.
