STORM LAKE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque women's basketball team fell on the road the Buena Vista University Beavers on Saturday afternoon at the Siebens Fieldhouse.
The Spartans were unable to stop the red-hot shooting Beavers who made 16 three-pointers on the day.
The Spartans got production today from
Christina Simonetti who finished with a team-high in both points (16p) and rebounds (9). Simonetti was just one rebound shy of her third double double in a row.
Lilly Craig scored nine points, while
Karsyn Pankonen added eight points.
Ella Gabbert made her first career start today and played 14 minutes.
As a team, the Spartans were a solid 14-16 (87.5%) at the free throw line in the loss.

The Spartans will be end their four-game road trip next Wednesday night (Feb. 4) when they travel to Waverly, Iowa to face the Wartburg College Knights. Tip off with the Knights is set for 5:30 p.m. from Levick Arena.
