DECORAH, Iowa - The University of Dubuque men's wrestling team won a couple of one point matches late in the dual to extend the Spartans lead 20-16. The host Luther College Norse would finish the dual with a pair of falls to capture the American Rivers Conference tilt in a come from behind victory over the Spartans 28-20.

The match began at 149 lbs. and UD Ashton Hayhurst won at 149 lbs. in a major decision. #14 Colton Weiler (157 lbs.) won in a 14-1 major decision to push the team lead to 8-0. Luther rallied with top ranked #1 Clayton McDonough (165 lbs.) in a tech fall 17-0 over #10 Kale Roth and 5:19. The Norse #6 Bryce McDonough won by a fall in 1:56 to extend the Norse lead 11-8. A tight match at 184 lbs., before UD's Zane Pannell collected the fall in 5:46 to give UD the lead 14-11.

Luther captured the 197 lbs. match by a tech. fall 20-3 in 5:09 and regained the lead 16-14. #18 Justin Matson (285 lbs.) escaped in the second period and that would be the only score in the match with UD once gain leading by a slim 17-16 margin. The Spartans Caleb Edwards held on to a 3-2 lead as time expired to capture the 125 lbs. match and pushing the UD lead to 20-16. It was all Luther in the final two matches when they won by a fall at 133 lbs. in :20 and then winning at 141 lbs. by a fall in :38 to take the match 28-20.
