DUBUQUE, Iowa – The University of Dubuque men's hockey team hosted #6 Adrian College for a Friday matinee match. The Spartans ultimately fell to the Bulldogs 7-1.
The Spartans' lone goal came from the stick of
Jack Paweski, who took passes from
Owen Hardy and
Zach Burfoot to rob the Bulldogs of a shutout.
The teams combined for fifteen penalties on Friday, including a game misconduct foul as well as a disqualification. The Bulldogs scored twice during their five power-play opportunities, while the Spartans went scoreless in their four power-play opportunities.
Nolan Underwood led the Spartans with three shots on goal.
Andon Coles blocked two shots, and
Zak Wentworth went 4-5 on face-offs during the contest. The Spartans made 33 saves during the contest.
