Caitlin Jensen capped the set with four consecutive kills for the 25-21 victory. The Eagles led for most of the second set, and despite a late rally, held on to knot the match at one set apiece. The Spartans and Eagles traded runs in the third set before a six-point tie breaking run by the Spartans all but sealed the set to take a 2-1 lead. The Spartans maintained a lead throughout most of the fourth set to win 3-1 over a team who received votes in last week's coaches poll.
