DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque women's tennis team swung their way into the 2025-26 season with opening day victories on Saturday. UD battled a hard fought win in the season opener against Greenville University by a 4-3 margin. In the night cap, UD beat Grand View University by a 6-1 margin.
Ideal conditions proved fruitful for the Spartans opener during Labor Day weekend. The Spartans youth took to the Frank Farber tennis courts with four of five singles players being sophomore or freshmen and captured the sweep on Saturday for head coach
Chad Fenwick.Â
UD will return to the courts on Tuesday, Sept. 2 at 4:00 p.m. when they make the small journey down the street to face the Loras College Duhawks in their American Rivers Conference season opener.
