DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque Athletics Hall of Fame committee announced the 2025 Hall of Fame Class on Friday afternoon. This years class includes: Andrew Danna (Baseball - '14), Klaudia (Basierak) Hall (Volleyball - '16), Gonzalo Hernandez Cascante (Men's Soccer - '16), Jenna Kotas (Women's Basketball - '15), Andre Norris (Men's Basketball - ex. 2016), Fabiola Ortiz (Women's Cross Country / Track & Field - '17), and Blaine Snitker (Football - '16).
These seven Spartans will be inducted on Saturday, September 13 before the Hall of Fame football game against UW-Platteville at 6:00 p.m. on Chalmers Field.
Andrew "Andy" Danna - Baseball '14
Andy graduated in 2014 with a bachelor of science in computer graphics and interactive media, and was on the baseball team. His career ranks include: 1st in doubles, triples, total bases, and assists, 2nd in runs, and 4th in hits. He also still holds the record for single-season doubles and triples and was named All-Region.
Klaudia (Basierak) Hall - Volleyball '16
Klaudia graduated in 2016 with a bachelor of science in elementary education and was a standout member of the volleyball team. She made an immediate impact as IIAC Freshman of the Year and went on to become the first player in program history to earn First Team All-Conference honors in all four seasons. Klaudia ranks 1st in total attacks and 2nd in both kills and kills per set, and she led the conference in kills for two seasons. She was also recognized as a 3x Academic All-Conference and 2x CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree.
Gonzalo Hernandez Cascante - Men's Soccer '16
Gonzalo graduated in 2016 with a bachelor of business administration and marketing, and was a member of the men's soccer team. His career honors include being named a 2nd Team All-American, a 1st Team Academic and Athletic All-American, and earning IIAC MVP. Gonzalo was also a 3x All-Conference First Team selection, 3x Academic All-Conference, and 2x Academic All-American. Statistically, he ranks 1st in program history for assists, points, game-winning goals, shots on goal, and total shots. He also played a key role in leading the Spartans to their first and only NCAA tournament appearance in program history.
Jenna Kotas - Women's Basketball '15
Jenna graduated in 2015 with a bachelor of arts in sport marketing and management and was a member of the women's basketball team. During her career, Jenna was named a 2x All-Conference first team and second team all-region. Jenna's career ranks include 1st in free throw percentage and 5th in points per game. She was a 5x IIAC Athlete of the Week, and held the 3rd highest free throw percentage in Division III in 2014-15. Additionally, she was a key member of the 2014-15 IIAC Championship Team.
Andre Norris - Men's Basketball ex. 2016
Andre was a member of the class of 2016 and was a member of the men's basketball team. He was selected as an All-American, 4x All-Conference, with a first team selection three times, D3Hoops West Region MVP, and All-Region. Additionally, Andre was named a 2x IIAC MVP and Defensive Player of the Year. Andre's career ranks are equally impressive, sitting at 1st in points, 1st in 3-point percentage, 2nd in blocks, and 3rd in rebounds, field goals made, and games played. He was also a key member of the 2015-16 IIAC Championship Team.
Fabiola Ortiz - Women's Cross Country / Track & Field '17
Fabiola graduated in 2017 with a bachelor of arts in psychology, with a minor in criminal justice, and participated on the women's cross country and track and field team. Fabiola was selected as a 3x member of the All-Conference Cross Country team. She is also ranked 1st in the 6,000m and 1st in the 4,000m. In track and field, Fabiola was named 12x All-Conference, a 4x champion, and was named track events MVP her senior year. For indoor track and field, her career ranks include 1st in the 800m, mile, and 2nd in the 3,000m. For outdoor track and field, her career ranks are 1st in the 800m, 1,500m, and steeplechase.
Blaine Snitker - Football '16
Blaine graduated in 2015 with a bachelor of science in math in secondary education, physical education teaching K-12, and mathematics with a minor in coaching K-12. He was also a member of the football team. While at UD, Blaine was named IIAC MVP, 3x All-Conference first team, and D3Football.com All-Region. He was also a Campbell Trophy Semifinalist and Cliff Harris Award Finalist. His career ranks include 8th in tackles and tied for 4th in fumbles forced. He was also selected as a 3x Academic All-Conference and 2x Academic All-District. Blaine was also a key part of the 2015 IIAC Championship team and was named captain.
