Spartans Make History, Record Highest-Ever Learfield Directors’ Cup Finish

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The University of Dubuque Spartans athletic department recorded its highest Learfield Director's Cup ranking with a 53rd-place finish in the final standings released today, June 9.

The Spartans finished with 350.00 points, with notable highlights from the men's and women's golf teams, both of which placed 14th at the NCAA Division III golf championships in May. The Spartans women's volleyball team made a run to the round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament this past fall, while track & field had multiple Division III All-Americans at both the indoor and outdoor national championships. Men's and women's wrestling each had two qualifiers make their respective national championships. 

The Spartans previous best finish was 58th, doing so last season (2024-2025) and in the 2021-2022 season. Among the American Rivers Conference members, the Spartans finished fourth in the league.
