CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) released the post-winter all-sports trophy standings on Wednesday afternoon. The University of Dubuque Spartans sit fourth in the Combined All-Sports Trophy standings, while the Spartans sit third in the Majorie Gilges Women's All-Sports Trophy standings and the Spartans are fourth in the Elmer Hertel Men's All-Sport Trophy standings.Â
The men's winter sports were led by the UD men's basketball team, who finished the regular season 14-2 in conference play to win their 11th regular season title in program history. The UD men's indoor track & field placed second at the conference indoor championships to boost the Spartans in the men's standings. The women's winter sports were led by the UD women's wrestling team, who finished third at the A-R-C Championships back in late January. The UD women's basketball finished fifth in the A-R-C this past winter to gain additional points for the Spartans.
