LINCOLN, Neb. - The University of Dubuque would finish the road weekend with a split. The Spartans won a thrilling 4-3 match at BVU on Friday and traveled to Nebraska to continue American Rivers Conference play on Saturday, but lost 5-2 to the host Prairie Wolves.

Gavin Murrie went 4-0 on the weekend after winning both #1 doubles and #1 singles this weekend. In #1 doubles with partner Pedwar Castillo, the duo would finish 6-4 over both Buena Vista University and Nebraska Wesleyan University. Murrie at #1 singles would win 6-2, 6-2 over NWU and he won over BVU 6-2, 6-2. Pedwar Castillo would collect #3 singles win on Saturday after dropping the first set 6-4, bouncing back to win 6-2, 10-6 in the tie break.

The Spartans return to Frank Farber Tennis Courts for their final three A-R-C dual meets. The Spartans host the Loras College Duhawks on Wednesday, April 16 at 4:00 p.m., and then host Simpson College and Central College on graduation weekend to end the regular season. The A-R-C Team Tournament begins on Tuesday, April 29 at a site yet to be determined.
