DUBUQUE, Iowa - The #23-ranked University of Dubuque men's wrestling team faced a hostile road crowd and lost to the #16-ranked Loras College Duhawks 35-7 in American Rivers Conference action on Friday night.
The Spartans were held scoreless through the 184 lbs. match, but rallied to capture the 197 lbs. and 285 lbs. weight classes. 
Pilo Perez held his opponent scoreless in a major decision 8-0. He grabbed a pair of takedowns and an escape and had over a minute of riding time for eight points. #16-ranked 
Justin Matson battled through three periods knotted at 1-1. He tied the match in the second period with an escape and took his opponent into a tie break by collecting a point to edge out a 2-1 final.
